4th and 5th Feb, I went to Hakone with my family.
2月4、5日に箱根へ家族で行ってきました。

We arrived at Hakone Yumoto by Romance car from Shinjuku.

At Hakone Yumoto, we changed to Hakone Tozan Testudo to Gora.

At Gora we changed again to a cable car to Sounzan. We were about to get on the gondola.

Mum in the gondola. Can you see the snow on the ground?

Nice two shot!

After a few ninutes, suddenly we could see Mt. Fuji!

Can you see the steam coming up from the bottom?

Those steam were from Onsen springs!

Another shot of Mt. Fuji

Arrived at Owakudani

Ashino-ko

About to be on board from Togendai-ko

Viking ship on Ashino-ko

Mt. Fuji again

Tried to get three shot with Mt. Fuji at the background

Several attempts to get Mt. Fuji

Late lunch at Moto Hakone. We had Tempra Soba. Obviously Dad had Hakone Beer with it.

On the bus to Kowakudani to get another bus to Pola museum

Kowakudani has Yunessun, where I and John went in June 2006.

Pola museum

There are some very famous paintings.

In the hotel. We had champagne for aperitif after we took very nice onsen bath outside whrere we can see Mt. Fuji!

Kampai!

Bit brighter.

Dinner time! Using Oshibori to clean my hands first.

Drinking Yuzu sake, very nice!

Kampai!

Menu and a kind of Amuse-Bouche.

At breakfast

Except Dad, we were in Yukata.

Dad went outside of the restaurant.

Mt. Fuji from outside the hotel

Yuka with Mt. FUji

Self-timer attempt - without Mt. Fuji

Successful attempt!

After check out, we had time to kill before the bus.

Crazy pose!

Some snow was there.

You can see the hotel name now - Hotel Green Plaza Hakone.

Getting board of killing time to catch a bus.

The gray concrete building is church. Quite nice inside though.

On the way to Gora, we saw a gondola passing by.

Similar picture

I really liked the rope way so we decided to do the same route again. Can you see the shadow of the gondola?

Gondolas are passing by.

Tried to get Kanji letter on the mountain, means 'Big'

All in this shot. This is my second favourite picture of this trip.

Mt. Fuji again

Picture of Onsen springs. Smell of sulfer.

My favourite picture!!! I looked so happy in this strange uniform jacket and hat. Rest were a bit embarrassed.

On the way back to Sounzan, we bought Yaki-imo (roast sweet potato).

Eating and viewing Mt. Fuji.

We have nobody except us in the gondola so we took strange pictures...

Dad is in the cable car. Looks sleepy.

About to arrive at Gora Station. After this we went back to crowded Shinjuku.
